Intern supporting Payroll & Benefits team in a shared service environment. Tasks include payroll inputting & checking, answering queries about pension benefits, Shared Parental Leave and other HR processesJob Description
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Maintain HR Workday database and ensure standards of accuracy and quality as well as compliance with relevant procedures.
 - Consistently follow defined HR processes, challenge steps that may not make sense / add value.
 - Process documentation in accordance the possible changes together with process and system experts.
 - Develop a good working relationship with the GE HR community through timely and accurate administration of HR processes, and early identification of requirements and any service issues.
 - Proactively communicate with customers to ensure timely resolution of transactions and manage expectations.
 - Open to partner feedback and use it to improve our service offering.
 - Deliver on commitments, manage expectations & keep partners informed on progress.
 - Work on payroll & benefit queries in a timely manner
 - Work as part of a team to answer customer queries
 
Requirements:
- Fluent English language knowledge both verbal and written
 - Ability to communicate effective through written and verbal communication and consistently deliver high quality customer service in a professional manner
 - Demonstrated effectiveness to prioritize between tasks with different deadlines, complexity
 - Availability for min. 25 hours per week (desired 37.5 per week)
 - Active student enrollment for min. 6 months;
 - Ability to work in UK: we do not sponsor Visa / work permits. Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of UK
