We are looking for a true people person who is passionate about hospitality. You will be part of a dedicated Human Resources team who strive to provide a caring and inclusive culture to our associates, with a focus on engagement and development opportunities. This role will focus on recruitment, on boarding, training & development and retention of a strong and dynamic workforce. The HR Coordinator will also be a key player in all other aspects of HR, taking an active role around the hotel as well as building strong relationships at all levels of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the Human Resources discipline. Previous experience in HR is not necessary but strong organizational skills and a caring and creative character is essential.
This position is offered on a fixed term contract for maternity cover until approximately March 2024. However, we will support any efforts at the end of the term to extend the contract or find an alternative role within Marriott. Marriott opens doors to a world of opportunity!

You will enjoy working with a dedicated HR team who drive the Marriott philosophy to “Take Care of our Associates”, prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure associates have opportunities to grow and develop, resources to focus on their personal and team wellbeing, and the tools to provide excellent customer service to our guests.
What you’ll be doing
This is an HR generalist role which means you are part of everything HR related! From driving recruitment and onboarding efforts, delivering training, troubleshooting payroll, promoting wellbeing and organising rewarding events for our team – you name it, we do it! The role is about building relationships, being great at administration and being an ambassador able to sell the Marriott brand to potential future employees. Its generally Monday to Friday office hours (although very occasional evenings and weekends may be required – the hotel is open 24/7 after all) and is 40 hours per week.

- Previous experience in a hotel environment is preferred
- Administration skills - Attention to detail, organised and able to use Microsoft Office
- Great conversational and relationship building skills
