Job description
Job Title: HR Manager
Duration: Temporary Maternity Cover
Division: Corporate Resource Group
Location: London
Key Responsibilities
- Agree how various stakeholders will be supported by HR. This will be a tailored approach for all clients
- Look for opportunities to highlight where HR can add value and drive performance
- Build management capability through coaching and effective partnering with managers
- Be integral in the performance reviews process and ensure that the quality of conversations and recorded outputs is high
- Support managers throughout the SMCR annual recertification process to ensure that the firm is remaining compliant with regulatory obligations
- Conduct HR follow up meetings and exit interview. Partner with managers to address any themes identified
- Be proactive in promoting opportunities for learning across Baird
- Ensure learning and development strategies are articulated for all areas using performance review as an input
- Liaise with training providers and Baird Talent Development to develop appropriate and effective training solutions
- Coach managers to optimize experiential learning opportunities.
- Employment law expert and advisor
- Resolve ER issues before they escalate such as disciplinary, grievance and performance issues
- Manage and promote family friendly policies
- Work on terminations/settlements unsupervised
- Update HR procedures, policies and employee handbook to reflect current legislation and regulatory requirements
- Manage the relationship with UK and Frankfurt benefits brokers and vendors. Ensure that service levels are adhered to and where they are not escalate appropriately
- Manage the annual renewal process for healthcare benefits and collaborate with the Baird HR Technology team to ensure that Workday reflects the benefits offering
- Collaborate with Baird Total Rewards to conduct salary benchmarking for clients in conjunction with the business ensuring that relevant comparator groups are used
- Oversee payroll and pensions workstreams
- Partnering with stakeholders
- Coaching stakeholders
- Able to evidence effective vendor management
- Has resolved ER cases (expected to be low volume)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must with the ability to effectively relate to work in a team-oriented setting.
- Passion for providing high-value client service.
- Level 7 CIPD Qualified
- Graduate
