About the team
The HR and Recruitment Team at Mako focus on what matters most to us, our people. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced an HR team, working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of HR and working closely with the rest of the HR team, this role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment dealing with HR related queries for our Global offices. An extremely busy role, with the opportunity to get involved in all areas of HR.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Dealing with all day-to-day HR queries
- Managing all visa requests including global requirements and ensure process is managed in a timely manner
- Oversee the onboarding process for all new hires including employment screening escalations
- Assist with performance management procedures
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews
- Preparation of all employee letters including leaves of absence, promotion, salary increase etc
- Management of all template documents including employment contracts, employee handbooks etc
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data to HR Business Partner
- Responding to FCA reference requests and oversight of all other reference requests
- Supporting the team on various HR projects, including Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion & Culture & Values
- Involvement in all Outreach programmes
- Keeping HR System updated with all employee changes
- Day to day use of HR system
- Completing HR reports as requested
- Attending HR workshops and seminars
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
Person Specification
- A degree in a HR or related subject, or equivalent experience
- Enjoys working with people
- Good attention to detail and accuracy handling data
- Empathetic and supportive in nature
- Appetite to learn and grow within the role
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Have good spoken and written communication skills
- Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
- Confident in the preparation and roll out of presentations
