Human Resource Assistant
Based in Luton, Capability Green

We are looking for a HR Assistant to provide support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures, and contribute to the long-term development of our team. We are a medium sized HR function, offering the opportunity for the right person to gain extensive experience and progress their career in a commercial environment.

As a HR Assistant you’ll be:
- Providing HR support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner
- Contributing and supporting in HR projects such as Security screening/vetting, or other projects as they arise
- Handling maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave processes and queries
- Providing support with administration of investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Proactively contributing and providing HR administration support to the HR Advisor with the development and maintenance of human resource policies and procedures
As a HR Assistant you’ll have:
- Excellent Administration experience
- Presentation skills for all correspondence, letters, presentations and data
- Computer literacy with demonstrable ability in Microsoft packages and databases including Excel
- Assertive, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work to tight timescales
- Builds appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with employees and line managers
