Cambridge Econometrics have an exciting opportunity for a talented Human Resources Assistant to join our growing team. Delivering best practice HR services to our global offices this role offers exposure to a range of generalist responsibilities in an organisation committed to professional growth and development.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Human Resources Assistant interested in developing their career in the profession to join our Group Shared Services team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you’ll be part of the team responsible for the operational delivery of human resources across the CE Group, covering a range of areas including recruitment, induction, benefits, training and development and HR administration. This role also offers the opportunity to undertake supported HR project work.

Your responsibilities will include:

Recruitment and selection

  • Coordinating recruitment campaigns across all CE Group offices, including writing job adverts, advertising roles online, monitoring and tracking candidate applications and responding to queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Liaising with recruiting managers to coordinate and schedule interviews and role assessments, ensuring candidates are kept up to date.
  • Supporting the HR Manager in making offers of employment, providing candidate feedback and maintaining up to date records of all recruitment activity.

Induction and departure

  • Coordinating the induction and administration of new starters and leavers.
  • Ensuring all induction and departure paperwork is prepared and completed, liaising with line managers and Directors as needed.

Human Resources administration

  • Maintaining the HR information systems to ensure that they are accurate and up to date and that holiday and absence records are current.
  • Providing support to employees using the employee self service HR system.

Benefits administration

  • Providing administration support to the HR Manager and CE employees in relation to employee benefits to ensure scheme records are kept current and up to date, liaising with external providers as needed.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for employees with queries relating to CE employee benefits.

Training and development

  • Supporting the HR Manager in organising and coordinating training opportunities for CE employees and liaising with external training providers where necessary.
  • Booking training courses, sharing joining instructions with employees, coordinating feedback and maintaining up to date training records.
  • Supporting the HR Manager with annual and quarterly reviews, ensuring that timetables are adhered to and records are kept.

Person specification

We are looking for people who have:

  • an interest in developing a career in Human Resources and a commitment to delivering a professional and proactive HR service to our global team
  • a qualification at degree level or equivalent in Human Resources, Management or a related field is desirable, but not essential, for this role
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills and a personable approach
  • first class organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage their own work with the confidence to take the initiative when needed
  • the ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • an understanding of confidentiality
  • experience with Microsoft Office 365 and a good level of computer literacy
