Your role
Are you someone who enjoys working with vanilla and complex transactions in a fast-paced investment banking environment? Are you naturally curious and ambitious? Do you have sharp analytic skills? We are looking for someone like that who can:
– Take forward the underwriting process and perform fundamental credit analysis to provide independent risk recommendations to senior risk officers and front office management
– Engage with and challenge front office teams to ensure transactions are consistent with UBS's risk appetite and regulatory expectations
– Review and finalize counterparty periodic reviews/credit proposals, providing recommendations on appropriate trading limits and guidelines and drawing conclusions related to credit assessment and risk tolerance
– Closely monitor business and industry developments to maintain up to date risk ratings and portfolio outlooks

Your team
Counterparty Credit Risk is a specialist team within Global Risk Control. The team is responsible for assessing, approving, and monitoring the creditworthiness of counterparties, with focus on financial institutions, sovereigns and corporate clients. The role will provide opportunities to work as part of a global credit team spanning across EMEA-US-APAC. Product focus includes OTC Derivatives, Repos, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Structured Lending and Trade & Export Finance. The EMEA team is primarily located in the UBS London office and ultimately report into the firm's Chief Risk Officer.
Your expertise
– Up to 10 years relevant work experience
– Minimum of a bachelor's degree; CFA or another professional qualification (e.g. FRM)
– Currently working as a Credit Officer in a financial institution covering Corporate Clients.
– Ability to write clear concise risk analysis to support your recommendations
– Demonstrated ability to make and defend credit decisions under scrutiny from senior risk and front office management and internal auditors
– Good communicator and have a proven track record in building relationships
– Knowledge of banking, derivatives, and capital markets products
– Familiar with trading documentation (including ISDA and GMRA)
– Minimum of a bachelor's degree; CFA or another professional qualification (e.g. FRM)
