HR-Payroll Manager

We are looking to appoint a highly collaborative HR-Payroll Manager with experience in leading and managing a department. This is a unique opportunity to join a high growth business, which will provide an exceptional opportunity for career progression.
This is an exciting opportunity for a HR-Payroll Manager to undertake a highly challenging role, as a key member of the Senior Management team, in a busy, expanding business.
You will be responsible for overseeing the HR and Payroll function within the business.
SALARY £60,000 - £80,000 per annum plus bonus & career progression
The payroll requirements of this role are:
- Management of all payroll processes including calculating overtime, deductions, issuing tax forms, managing sickness, and ensuring payment is made on time, distribution of payslips, processing BACS payments and running journals and reports.
- Calculating SPP, SMP, SPP, processing new starters, leavers
- Lead on payroll implementation processes, monitor existing processes, and make suggestions for improvements.
- Managing exposure to payroll risk
The HR requirements of this role are:
- Management of all HR processes ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services and administration is consistent, accurate and operates to best practice
- Support the recruitment and on boarding process
- Developing and maintain strong and credible internal stakeholder relationships
- Lead, coach and mentor managers
- Acting as an escalation point of contact for urgent and complex HR queries to provide the best outcome
- Implementing and embedding a programme of continuous improvement to streamline processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide advice and guidance on HR related matters
The ideal HR-Payroll Manager will have:
- Experience of managing payroll and HR processes and has operated at Board level
- A strong and inspiring leader with a positive can do attitude
- The ability to manage, volume, routine, complex and diverse HR matters across the full employee life cycle
- Have relevant HR- Payroll qualification (CIPD/SHRM/CIPP) or project management qualifications
- Comprehensive and up to date knowledge UK and European employment law
