Contract Type: Full time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs, 4 days onsite, 1 day remote. Travel required between sites.
Reporting to: Chief HR Officer – Joint Ventures.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join us in Manchester. HCA is a great place to work, it’s a busy role, but with lots of rewarding variety where you will be the first point of contact for hospital facility employees and line managers, up to and including senior C suite managers.
You will build relationships and communicate with a range of departments which support operationally our hospital facilities and clinics to deliver outstanding care.
You will be delivering a full range of HR Generalist support services onsite (this excludes any recruitment/talent management), resolving existing employees or line manager queries. You will be managing the central inbox, calling, emailing and meeting individuals, guiding and advising them accordingly in line with our people management policies.
Your role as a HR Generalist will include owning enquiries to an informal and 1st stage case management level, this may include, grievances, attendance management, conduct and performance conversations. If and when the case becomes more complex you have full support of a HR Business partner and CHRO, you will support with note taking to learn from experienced specialist colleagues.
Additionally, your focus will be facilitating well-being initiatives, supporting colleague council meetings, employee of the quarter rewards, HR newsletters, employee opinion surveys, merit reviews, workday updates, payroll updates, and running vital staffing reports for line managers and Senior HR colleagues as required.
Successful applicants will need to be:
- Flexible to work up to 4 days on site within facility.
- Working directly in a central HR generalist team, for a large organisation.
- You will currently be in a HR advisory position, with a CIPD qualification, minimal level 3, and working towards level 5, or willing to work towards level 5, to which we can support.
- You will have up to date knowledge with employee legislation, understanding the fundamental people management policies for business to operate.
- You will already have some HR Generalist employee relations matters and used to maintaining employee records and employee database reporting.
- Workday System knowledge is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and HR meeting note taking experience.
- Have access to your own transport and be prepared to travel between facilities in Manchester.
