The Role:


As a HR Advisor, you’ll play a fundamental role in helping the council stay at its best for our residents and employees. Part of your role will be to provide a comprehensive Employee Relations service working with managers and other stakeholders to achieve high levels of employee engagement to support the delivery of the Council’s services and priorities.


You’ll ensure that core Employee Relations activity is successfully delivered across departments, engaging and connecting with colleagues at all levels of the council to foster a culture of collaboration that values individual contribution. You’ll be considered an expert in your field, and colleagues will look to you for guidance on all matters relating to employee relations and general HR queries.

About You:


An established professional with significant experience in an Employee Relations role, you’ll have demonstratable evidence of having worked successfully in a HR operations role.
Part of your role will include drafting comprehensive policies, procedures and guidance, so excellent written and verbal communication skills are key. As is the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues across all levels of the council. You’ll have a sound working knowledge of all disciplines within HR&OD, and the ability to present and communicate confidently to large groups.


On a personal level, you’ll be a true team player, with good analytical and decision-making skills. You’ll be a person passionate about improving outcomes for each and every employee at the council, working with integrity and professionalism in every aspect of your role.
