This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and busy HR team of seven. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including assisting with the day-to-day operation of the generalist HR function: visitors, immigration matters, annual leave, auditing, fixed term contact end process, PDRs, reporting. You will also have ownership of recruitment, onboarding, payroll changes. There are opportunities to improve and update procedures, hence initiative and enthusiasm is highly valued.
You will be trained to deliver these functions in line with the University’s policies. Experience of using PeopleXD (CoreHR) or a similar HR information system is desirable, but not essential.
The successful candidate will have transferable skills gained from previously working in a similar HR, recruitment, or admin role(s). Crucial skills include: outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Office, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work methodically and interpret standard procedures and sources accurately, also the ability to develop good working relationships with a range of staff.
