Job summary

Here at Defence Medical Services , we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.

We are looking for a friendly, well-organised and adaptable AO Human Resources Administrative Clerk to join our encouraging and welcoming team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and Administrative staff working within the station HQ at DMS Whittington.

The vacant post is a full-time position at 37 hours per week. Request to work flexibly and or part time will be considered taking into account business needs.

Job description

As the successful candidate, you will work within HQ DMS(W) who are key enabler, delivering cohesive support to all site business and training outputs. As the Human Resources Administration Clerk (HR Admin Clerk) you will provide administrative support to both Students and Permanent Staff within the DMS(W).

Person specification

Main duties of the role will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support to all Serving Personnel (SP) within the unit.
  • Working with and covering elements of the role of the Joint Personal Administration (JPA) Audit Clerk.
  • Requesting Permanent Staff Defence Barring Service (DBS) applications when required.
  • Covering Resettlement & Terminations in the absence of the Resettlement Clerk.
