Job description
The role of the QHSE Advisor / QHSE Manager shall effectively manage all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental and provide leadership and support to the client and across the offshore operation teams to fulfil contractual obligations and compliance. They will also be responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement in all QHSE policies, procedure and strategies.
Duties and responsibilities
- To build and align the company’s mission, vision and values in the QHSE strategy
- Establish and maintain a safe working culture and environment across all Business locations ensuring that safety policies and procedures are implemented, so far as is reasonably practicable
- Point of contact for provision of advice and assistance to offshore teams on all QHSE matters.
- Ensure that the projects have robust systems and procedures implemented that demonstrate compliance with all relevant QHSE legislation.
- Support the Sales and Project Managers in the development and implementation of Tenders, Project Assurance plans and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate project QHSEA activities (e.g., improvement plans, incident trends, best practice development etc.)
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the QHSE management system. Make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
- Promptly alert line and functional management for all accidents and incidents. Involvement in all incident investigations and ensure that findings are reported, corrective actions raised, and lessons learned developed and appropriately shared.
- Develop and drive business processes, awareness and strategy to support ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditation
- Develop and coordinate execution of the Company’s internal and external audit programme
- Coordinate and support the Company accreditation needs with certification bodies
- Lead management reviews relating to the Company’s QHSE management system
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and experience managing the same
- Excellent practicable knowledge for the implementation and management of ISO9001 and one or both of ISO14001 and/or ISO45001
- Demonstrable experience of managing safety and safety culture in a heavy engineering environment
- Understanding of current and emergent legislation/guidance within QHSE
Preferred
- Internal Auditor Training accreditation advantageous and desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
