Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
ERSI Group UK are looking for a self-motivated, Driven and committed HSE officer to supplement their current team. They would need to have a pro-active look on HSE matters and have the ability to influence culture change at all levels of the company. ERSI Group are a worldwide company and have recently broke into the UK market with a can do attitude. ERSI Group are currently in contract to supply the first stages of the new HS2 Green tunnels build here in the UK which you can be a part of.
The Role:
- Multiple daily walk arounds to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Collection and distribution of safety related documents (pre-use checks, Inspections, HSE tour forms etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring the company and all its employees adhere to their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other supporting legislation.
- Carrying out risk assessments and reviews.
- Accident/Incident investigation.
- Participation in health & safety committees.
- Carrying out site inductions for new employees, contractors & visitors.
- Carry out in house training in regards to manual handling, abrasive wheels, DSE etc.
- Making recommendations & implementing HSE improvements.
- Carry out system checks such as fire alarm systems etc.
- Advisor any ERSI employee in regards to HSE matters.
- Supporting management where required.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Background in any Engineering/Construction/Manufacturing industry.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a HSE role.
- Computer literate – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Emails etc.
- Working as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Basic English & maths skills.
Desired but not required:
- An understanding of ISO accreditations.
- Quality related procedures.
- Ability to speak Spanish.
The offer:
Job Type: Full time, Permanent.
Working hours: Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM (40 Hours Per Week) (1 hour break)
Location: Loughborough, UK.
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 Per Annum. Depending on experience.
Annual Leave: 20 days + Bank holidays.
