Overview
The HSE Manager will be a core member of the HSE leadership team that defines the strategy, drives implementation and monitors the performance of the health and safety, environment and quality programmes to meet the company ambitions.
Key Role Deliverables:
- Provide direction, oversight and guidance for all aspects of HSE within respective sectors of the business.
- Providing support and input to blu3’s pre-construction team at PQQ & tender stage and ensure resource availability to meet demands.
- Managing and marshalling respective HSE resources to ensure they are fit for purpose and have sufficient capacity to meet the respective project delivery requirements.
- Perform internal HSE inspections and leadership tours on respective projects.
- Understanding how different countries operate in regard to people, operations, currency, unions and legislation (International part of business only).
- Providing direct input to blu-3’s risk registers at SMT and ensure that it is regularly updated.
- Maintaining awareness of relevant current business issues and keep abreast of all changes in the sector including legal, technical and contractual trends.
- Any other reasonable requests as required by Management

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- NVQ Level 5 or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject.
- Graduate IOSH membership (or working towards).
- Knowledge of utility and civil construction sectors.
- Detailed knowledge of HSE guidelines.

- Excellent motivator and team builder.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills with confident, resilient approach.
- Good presentation, persuasiveness and negotiating skills.
- Confident when dealing with challenging and sometimes difficult individuals.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with Clients and Senior Managers.
