What you would do as our EH&S Coordinator
PC Henderson has been creating the highest quality sliding and folding door hardware for over 100 years. Our products can be seen in a wide variety of residential, commercial and industrial applications across the world. We are now looking for someone who is going to support the environmental, health and safety activities throughout our business unit.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you would:
- co-ordinate Health and Safety activities across site
- working with the managers to deploy the site policy and support the development of strategies to reduce risk
- collate site accident and claims statistics
- co-ordinate the site risk assessment programme and assist in outlining operational procedures to reduce risk
- produce reports, newsletters and bulletins to promote H&S activities and increase awareness
- co-ordinate and assist in accident investigations and the identification of remedial measures and root cause
- identify any training needs to improve the H&S culture within the business
- respond to general H&S enquiries
- work with group leaders to ensure the provision of appropriate PPE
- liaise with external bodies such as the HSE, insurance companies, insurance claims assessors, the Environmental Agency and Water Authorities
- develop environmental plans
- collate information for corporate environmental reporting
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- has a consolidated experience with Environmental, Health and Safety matters in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
- has experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- is IOSH qualified.
Ideally, you have a NEBOSH diploma or a certificate in Environmental Management (but no worries if you don't!). You are passionate about improving EH&S processes, working with people and building a safer world!
