HR Support Officer

Salary: Grade 5 (£25,285- £28,929 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you an experienced HR Assistant, customer focused with the ability to manage multiple tasks? Would you like an opportunity to develop or improve skills in team leadership and management? Can you apply your experience to help to improve HR services and processes?

We are looking to recruit a pro-active HR Support Officer to support the provision of an excellent, effective HR service, based within the Faculty of Environment. You will have responsibility for line managing and motivating a team of HR Assistants to deliver a professional advisory service to a Faculty. Working with a high level of professionalism, you will manage the day to day HR operational activity, support, mentor, develop and advise your team of HR assistants.

You will predominantly provide support and guidance to managers and staff within Faculty of Environment on a range of employment matters. This will include coordinating and delivering on a number of HR processes whilst also contributing to the continual development of our HR service.

With a dynamic and problem-solving approach, championing customer service excellence, you will also have excellent organisational and communication skills, an ability to work under pressure and to interpret and apply University HR policy, legislation and good employment practices.
