EducationHR is a trading team within Norfolk County Council, providing a range of specialist services to educational establishments. We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team. The role will require giving correct advice and information on school and academy HR policies and procedures at the first point of contact and to asses risk in order to prioritise calls and workloads, this will be primarily telephony support but also via email.
EducationHR provides easy access and rapid responses to HR advice and support for headteachers, governors and school employees on a wide range of enquiries, in order to fully answer their enquiries and to give an excellent customer experience. We aim to ensure high resolution of enquiries at first point of contact. Enquiries include:
- Contracts of employment
- Sickness absence
- Pay
- Industrial relations
- HR policy and procedures on health and safety
- Employee relations
- Reward
- Recruitment
You will be expected to resolve as many queries as possible, at the same time exercising judgement and assessing risk in order to prioritise and hand off calls appropriately to senior colleagues and specialist teams.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a positive team approach, is solution focussed, and able to respond quickly and effectively to the new issues that every day brings. You must be skilled in accessing information from a variety of electronic systems and be able to adapt to new systems. Training will be given on Oracle (HR and Payroll system) and other customer contact systems and procedures. You should be able to demonstrate an appetite for continuous learning and delivering excellent customer service. You will have a key role in the delivery of a value for money, quality service that supports the wider EducationHR role of enabling schools and academies to deliver the highest quality of education to children and young people.
This post will be a hybrid role with a mix of remote working and office-based working.
