Main Purpose
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of HR professionals at Royal
Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The team member would serve as a Human Resources Specialist responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out a full range of recruitment and placement HR services related to employment of over 1,200 Local National employees for the United States Air Force located throughout the United Kingdom and
Norway. They recruit in varied job groups; to include, but not limited to administrative, medical, legal, aircraft maintenance, logistics and operational support for the visiting United States Forces. The HR specialist would be responsible for performing affirmative employment services in accordance with organizational guidance and directives.
The HR specialist is responsible for advertising, determining qualification of potential candidates, extending job offers, coordinating pre-employment requirements and establishing reporting dates. In addition, the individual would be required to utilize comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles, applicable laws, theories, rules, and directives to analyze data and identify solutions that meet organizational mission requirements. Furthermore, they would participate in studies or initiatives to improve the Human Resources model. They will also prepare a variety of written communication; to include, but not limited to newsletters, reports of specials studies, scripts, presentations, letters of advisory for position management and strategies.

Knowledge and Experience Required
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of the full range of HR affirmative position management principles, employment, recruitment, and placement principles, concepts, policies and analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of other HR processes sufficient to relate recruitment and placement issues to them.
- Skill in applying basic principles, provisions, laws, regulations, practices, and techniques of staffing and recruitment.
- Skill in troubleshooting and resolving the most difficult problems associated with providing comprehensive recruitment and placement advisory services.
- Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions from information, and communicate information clearly, orally and in writing
Other Important Information
- Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies.
- Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- May be assigned other duties that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the employee.

- May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. Position may be coded as mission essential
- A 6-12 month probationary period will be required
- Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.
- Overtime may be required
- May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
