Job Summary

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class full-cycle recruiting and staffing services to the Department of Human Services (DHS) Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) Administration.
In this position you will execute day-to-day recruitment activities including partnering with hiring managers and supervisors to understand their particular business needs by creating strategic recruitment plans, driving talent pipeline development, and providing consistent updates on recruitment progress and providing consultation services on labor relations.
- Managing the full cycle recruitment process
- Implementing strategies that strengthen DHS’ ability in attracting, assessing, selecting, sourcing, onboarding, and retaining best-in-class talent
- Performing related personnel support activities so the office of Human Resources functions in an efficient and effective manner
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Human Resources Specialist 1 Minimum Qualifications
2 years advanced administrative support, paraprofessional, or technical experience in human resources
OR
Associates degree in related field and 1 year of advanced support, paraprofessional, or technical experience in human resources
OR
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
Human Resources Specialist 2 Minimum Qualifications
1 year of professional recruitment and management consultation experience
OR
3 years of advanced technical or paraprofessional recruitment experience
OR
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and 2 years of advanced technical or paraprofessional human resources experience.
Human Resources Specialist 3 Minimum Qualifications
2 years professional level work as a Recruiter and/or Talent Acquisition Specialist.
- Developing job descriptions
- Sourcing candidates
- Posting jobs on various websites
- Reviewing resumes and selecting top talent
- Ability to provide consultation and guidance to management staff with respect to recruitment initiatives
- Public presentation skills sufficient to speak in front of groups or in a virtual setting
- Knowledge of hiring processes and the ability to understand the application of technology to the recruitment and selection processes.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.
