Come and support our people in driving our mission to “inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow”. You will manage 9 HR consultants and assistants responsible for the day-to-day HR Operations in 10 countries and the end-to-end employee lifecycle with the support of a Shared Service Center.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 9 that deliver HR Operations including various local processes (e.g., Right to Work, Profit Sharing, Social Security reporting, etc.), and ensures:
+ That templates for global employee processes, hiring, changes, terminations are accurate and used by our Shared Service Center (Business Service Organization – BSO).
+ HR employment processes are compliant (hiring and termination processes, labor law issues, contract renewals and dismissals, trainee programs, expatriates, control/process of retirement, etc.).
+ Personnel records maintenance (job history, retirement and insurance documentation, leave accrual records and details of illness, absences, transfers, and salary progression, etc.).
- Lead a distributed team, making them feel connected, setting the direction by creating KPIs and development plans.
- Ensure ownership and continuous improvement of local processes including documentation and supporting the transition of selected tasks to our BSO. Various reporting depending on local needs and legislation.
- Supervise, challenge and steer your team’s deliveries across the region, ensuring an excellent employee experience.
- Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external collaborators, e.g. site leads, BSO, Employee Masterdata, Contracts, Payroll, etc.
- Depending on your areas of expertise, you may take part in projects and/or working groups within different areas, such as benefits, health, wellbeing, or employee relations cases.

LEGO`s People, Operations & Development (PO&D) organization includes 5 main areas: Talent, Reward & Insights, Diversity & Inclusion and Partnering & Operations.
The Partnering & Operations organization covers PO&D (HR) business partnering and local operations that include employee relations, benefits, policies and execution. The Partnering organization is responsible for developing and deploying the people agenda in line with our strategic direction. The Operations organization serves as a backbone to enable the partners and the business in providing relevant solutions on people processes respecting geographical and site nuances.
Within a team of 19 employees spread across the Nordic & Western Europe regions you will lead a team of 9 who covers Western Europe. Our purpose is to provide support with HR Operational activities and local benefits. We also act as competence center and support to our Business Service Operations (BSO) in Kladno, who handle the transactional topics such as general payroll and master data. #LI-NS2
Do you have what it takes?
- Demonstrable experience as an HR expert and leader, ideally within a matrix organisation.
- Proficiency in general HR policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of employment law in one or several European countries (Irish employment law would be advantageous but not a must).
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Collaborative, problem-solving, efficient and purposeful approach.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) would be a plus.
- Proficiency in English, written and oral, is required. Any additional European languages would be an advantage.
