The NDCN HR Team provides high quality professional services to support over 475 staff and approximately 320 academic visitors. This is an exciting and positively challenging role, giving you an opportunity to assist some of the world’s leading researchers, within one of the most respected Universities in the world.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide professional customer focused service for NDCN. You will interact with staff at all levels and deliver accurate, appropriate and timely HR support, advice and documentation in line with university policy. You will support international recruitment and will be required to be fully conversant with the current UKBA immigration and visa regulations. Training will be provided in this complex area.
You should have excellent organisational skills, a professional customer-focused approach and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience. You will be fully trained in the delivery of the recruitment and payroll functions, and will develop a thorough understanding of HR administration in a higher education institute. The actual duties you will undertake on a day-to-day basis will vary and so being able to manage your workload and time is essential.
The successful candidate will have completed or be working toward CIPD Level 5, or hold an equivalent relevant qualification. They will have experience of working in an HR team/generalist HR role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential material appropriately. Experience of using HR information systems such as PeopleXD, knowledge of current UKBA immigration and visa regulations and experience of working in a similar role within a Higher Education Institution is desirable.
Please see the below 'Job Description' for further details on the responsibilities and selection criteria, as well as further information about the university and how to apply.

This post is permanent and full time. Hybrid working is available.
Only applications received before 12pm midday on Monday 9th October 2023 will be considered.
Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
