We are currently recruiting for a HR officer, this will be homebased with some travel required.

Your role with us
You can expect a wide and varied role dealing with everything from recruitment onboarding and induction. You will provide proactive and efficient support to the Group HR Manager and the wider business. Support people processes covering various elements across the employee life cycle. Being the first point of contact for all general Employee Relations issues. Providing cross cover for the payroll coordinator during annual leave and absence.
The Ideal candidate
You will be well organised, with a commitment to providing good quality and timely support to the wider business, you will be competent in using IT packages such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams & Word). We are look for great interpersonal skills, great team ethic and communication skills (written and verbal). You will be able to make effective decisions, identify problems and propose solutions to maintain a quality service. You will also have the ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with first line employee relations issues
- Using the HRIS to compile date and create management information.
- Support with investigation on disciplinary and absence management issues up to written warning
- Management if the OUTCO apprenticeship levy including liaising with training providers and funding bodies to ensure that the best value and quality training is provided.
- Support of the end to end recruitment process, including supporting managers to draft job spec, job advertisement and liaise with recruitment subscription services such as Indeed, Reed and Total Jobs etc
- Management of the applicant tracking system
- Maintain the Time and Attendance system by verifying and correcting time records, creating shifts and maintaining employees' profiles.
- Conducting welcome interview, onboarding employees and collating the induction process for all new employees
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing environment.
- Highly accurate and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality and data protection principles at all times.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly sensitivity and empathy.
- Ability to work under pressure and have good time management skills.
- HR Qualification - CIPD L5 (or qualified by experience)
- Experience is a fast pace environment.
- Payroll knowledge
- TUPE knowledge advantageous
