Job Title: HR Officer

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Metro House, 203 Pinner Road, Northwood HA6 1BX

Harrow Health Community Interest Company began in 2007 by a group of Harrow GPs, whose sole aim was to ensure patients receive a high-quality clinical care service within the community. Over the years, Harrow Health has expanded. We now provide many clinical services, which include GP
Extended Access provision, Community Services, and our Whole Systems Integrated Care Services.

Job Summary:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process
  • Oversee staff S&M training compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinary, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Support the Finance Team on monthly payroll ensuring information provided to run payroll is accurate.
  • Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge share best practice with them.
  • Develop, HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
  • Implement learning and development plan.
  • Manage SAR from employees.
  • Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.

  • Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies, support by LMC Law
  • Support the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.
  • Carry out new starter corporate inductions.
  • Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Maintain annual compliance checks on all clinical staff
  • Support change management processes
  • Carry out 6 monthly staff surveys and with the Senior Leadership Team to develop action plans.

  • Ensure staff are compliant with the statutory mandatory training requirements.

Harrow Health operates a system of individual performance review/appraisal for the purpose of agreeing performance objectives and discussing development needs in line with requirements of service need in the operational plan.

To have responsibility for a commitment to maintaining a high-quality service to patients by continual development of Service in the light of research evidence and by audit, based against clinically relevant standards.
