Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious HR Officer!
As a true HR generalist, you will be involved in all areas of HR in both a logistical and advisory capacity, including the Employee Life Cycle, Recruitment, ER, Engagement, Payroll, and L&D!

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your goal is to foster positive relationships, increase engagement and support individuals and managers alike in the fundamentals of their Aqua career!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment
- Supporting managers with recruitment, including screening candidates, arranging interviews, and attending interviews where required
- Working with the HR Coordinator to onboard new members of the team
- Monitoring and helping with administration around onboarding
- Ensuring the recruitment process is legally compliant
Employee Relations
- Being first point of contact for both employees and managers around leave, such as sickness, holiday.
- Advising on different types of parental leave, such as maternity and paternity, ensuring leave is managed throughout the business. This includes supporting managers in an advisory capacity and meeting with employees to discuss leave entitlements
- Supporting managers in probation queries
- Escalating issues to HR Manager
- Note taking for grievance, disciplinary, and flexible working meetings
Employee Life Cycle
- Monitoring the employee life cycle with the support of the HR team
- Managing the leavers process, including offboarding activities such as exit interview data, and completing face to face exit interviews with management
Data Management & Administration
- Responsible for right to work compliancy and audits
- Supporting with key people metrics, such as running reports and analysing data
- Ensuring accuracy in data entry on our HRIS, Fourth
- Working with the HR Manager to streamline HR processes
Learning & Development
- Coordinating and attending induction
- Supporting L&D Manager with training and development initiatives
Payroll
- Main point of contact with the Payroll Bureau
- Collating reports and analysing data
- Being second line support for HR Coordinator on payroll-related queries and concerns
Other
- Working alongside the HR Manager to support retention and engagement
- Ad hoc project work dependent on business needs
REQUIREMENTS
- You want to progress in your HR career, and have a passion for hospitality
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Prior experience working within an HR department in a fast-paced industry
- CIPD level 3, or equivalent qualification (desirable, not essential)
DETAILS
- 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 4 days per week in Office/Site, 1 day working from home
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
