Avaliable Job Today We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join our small, friendly Employee Relations team. Reporting to the Deputy HR Director, the role will line manage the Employee Relations Team which currently consists of 2 Senior HR Advisers and 1 HR Adviser. We are entering a significant period of growth and it is anticipated the team will need to grow to respond to this.
Working within the central team, you will be contracted on a hybrid working model which includes the variety of working from home and office-based working. We believe in a flexible working approach and encourage positive work life balance. You will be offered support and guidance when working from home not only from your direct team but from the wider CLF central function. You will also be based within the office or an academy setting regularly to benefit in working with wider teams and build positive relationships with our key contacts within Academies.
This role is a demanding, busy senior leadership role and is therefore ideally full time role working 37 hours per week. However, we are a family friendly, flexible employer and recognise talented colleagues may need some flexibility and will consider flexible working patterns, which might include the possibility of working Term Time only, working reduced hours or days. What we are looking for:
Using problem solving skills and adopting a pragmatic approach the post holder is responsible for providing sound advice to Principals, Managers and other staff within the CLF on a whole range of employee relations, change or other HR related issues.
The post holder will line manage the Advisory Team and will possess a comprehensive understanding of the operational HR casework as well as a sound knowledge of policies, procedures and terms of conditions of employment within the Federation to provide responsive support and practical high quality advice.
Supported by the Deputy HR Director the post holder will play an integral part in raising the HR agenda beyond reactive operational ER activities by proactively using HR expertise and Federation specific experience to work with the Principals and their SLT’s to allow HR capabilities to shape, influence and support Academy specific objectives and improvement plans. The post holder will also support the HR Director and Deputy HR Director with organisational value-adding HR activities and projects e.g. TUPE of new Academies as we grow.
Working flexibly and responding to changing demands they must be cognisant of the internal and external factors affecting organisational performance and intuitively respond where needed to support the overall aims of the Federation. This is a Trust wide role, which will be expected to provide support to schools in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire as well as other geographical areas in accordance with growth ambitions. The post holder will require a driving licence and their own transport to travel amongst our sites.
