About the role
We are hiring for a HR Manager to support Smartwyre as we continue to grow. The role is focused primarily on HR administration and compliance supporting the company globally. We currently have 90 employees, mainly in the UK and US with handful located in Europe and Latin America with the aim to double in size within the next 12 months.

The HR Manager will focus on ensuring all HR administration and compliance is up to date and relevant for all employees. The position will also be responsible for managing payroll for UK and US employees. This role will focus on process improvements and work on ad hoc projects to support the team and wider business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Be a first point of contact for all HR related questions.
  • Manage all HR administrative tasks including writing contracts, letters, and processes.
  • Assist with updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Administering global payroll on Gusto, Moorepay and other online platforms as required and liaise with payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll process is in place.
  • Manage employee benefits and communicate these to employees and pension providers to ensure correct and compliant reporting.
  • Administering the business registrations in the US states where we have employees in.
  • Work with the Talent team and onboard new hires
  • Ensure employment law and HR policy is applied for both UK and US.
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers in UK and US for support as required.
  • Project management of HR system implementation
  • Support with ad-hoc projects
Our Ideal Candidate
You will have experience working in a HR role previously, ideally one that focuses more on administration and compliance. Focused and dedicated with consistent attention to detail including accurate data skills.

You will be comfortable in a fast paced environment, we are growing globally so experience with managing employees and compliance in different countries is ideal.

We are a remote first culture so being able to demonstrate drive and ambition by working well independently (i.e. self-motivated) and assist in areas outside of the job role when needed is important to us.

You will have excellent communication and organizational skills and be competent in teamwork, collaborating and building relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Able to reason and respond adeptly and inclusively with all interpersonal interactions
