Rose Uniacke is an award-winning interior design studio as well as a furniture, lighting, fabrics and accessories designer and antiques dealer. Our office and stores are located along Pimlico Road and showcase Rose Uniacke’s own-designed edition pieces, fabrics & carefully curated antiques.
About the role:
Rose Uniacke is a rapidly growing company looking for a proactive, considerate and empathetic HR manager to the key connection point between the company and employees. They will be the go-to person for all employee related issues. Duties include the management of recruitment and job design, employee relations and welfare, performance management and training and development.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a generalist HR function in prior roles and experience working in a growing business. They will need to enjoy building relationships across the whole company, supporting and advising the team when needed, while also ensuring the company’s needs are met and remaining the spokesperson for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and monitor all HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the company.
· Manage the recruitment process and the onboarding of all new employees.
· Manage the offboarding process of all leaving employees.
· Oversee and manage the performance review system ensuring all members of the team know what needs to be done and by when.
· Feedback payroll information to the Managing Director.
· Maintain all internal comms from the company to the employees.
· Oversee the studio team’s monthly timesheets and import it into monthly summaries.
· Be the go-to person within the company for employees to come to for HR advice or issues, including but not limited to any grievances or performance related issues.
· Help coach and advise managers with any people issues within their team.
· Investigate any complaints and conduct any disciplinary action which may be required.
· Maintain all employee records.
· Ensure company policies are up to date and are followed by the team.
· Support the current and future business needs through staffing planning and the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of team members.
· Nurture and promote a positive working environment and be an ambassador for company ethos & culture.
· Fulfilling any other HR functions that may arise.

- Is a good mediator and able to see things from multiple points of view.
- Able to handle difficult situations with kindness and understanding.
- Able to have uncomfortable discussions and make hard decisions for the greater good of the company.
- Can work as part of a team, as well as individually while remaining self-motivated and pro-active.
- Is organised and able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
- Is adaptable and a good multitasker, able to handle a wide range of different tasks throughout the day
- Has problem solving skills and is able to tackle a broad number of HR problems that arise
