Prince Personnel are working with a large, international family run business based in the Shropshire countryside. We are looking for a HR Manager to join the organisation to oversee all aspects of HR for the business. Working as part of a small HR team, you will oversee 1 HR Assistant who reports into you. Therefore, this is going to be a hands-on role where you will still oversee and direct the strategy of HR, but we are keen to find someone who is comfortable all the daily transactional HR tasks too.
You will be responsible for:
- You will be responsible for the running of all aspects of HR within the business.
- Provide professional proactive support and guidance to management and directors.
- Develop and continually improve all HR policies and procedure where applicable.
- Oversee all aspects of recruitment, from the daily working each vacancy, ensuring eligibility to work checks are completed, but also looking at areas like staff retention and succession planning.
- Manage any employee relations casework, whether running or advising on complaints, disciplinary and grievances, managing sickness and absence.
- Oversee company appraisals, performance management, training and development, and coaching both staff and team leaders to excel in their roles.
- Managing employee documentation
- Keep up to date with new legislation and policy changes, ensuring these changes are rolled out and communicated effectively to ensure compliance.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement around employee welfare and developing the people culture of the company, ensuring the company culture and values remains at the heart of everything we do.
- Reviewing and managing employee benefits & rewards; and salary information reviews
- Managing company training and development.
- Reviewing, evaluating and improving HR systems.
Skills and Experience
We are ideally looking for a candidate that has a broad generalist experience at a senior HR level where you can comfortably come in with at a HR Manager level and be able to run things very quickly.
