A global travel wholesale company with its head office in London is looking for an HR manager to develop and implement an HR Strategy to promote an organisational culture of teamwork, service, high quality, transparency, accountability, innovation and inclusiveness. To work with the board as a business priority in rebuilding a solid and efficient organisational structure to cope with the business challenges in the post pandemic era.
Job Description
- Working directly with directors and managers, building strong relationships with stakeholders and being a trusted advisor
- Managing annual HR processes including salary and bonus review and performance appraisals and ensuring the delivery of a high quality day-to-day operational service
- Challenging existing HR processes and ways of working to drive up value and ensure maximum efficiency across all day to day activities
- Monitoring, measuring and reporting on HR activity and issues drawing on relevant supporting HR data and analytics
- Supervise the payroll process, including data input and third party service delivery
- Deliver and maintain all HR documents and policies, including H&S
- Lead, deliver and supervise all office administration activities
- Ensure all annual contracts and policies, including pension schemes, and health insurance, are reviewed, up to date and closely scrutinised to ensure the company gets good value for money
- Working closely with the business managers teams to ensure recruitment & onboarding is using innovative approaches to attract and retain the best available talent
- Develop people growth plans that sit alongside the business growth strategy
- Oversee great quality performance conversations and promote a high performing culture across the business
- Overseeing learning, ensuring all staff have access to CPD opportunities
- Develop effective succession planning and a well-resourced talent pipeline meeting current and future needs of the business
- Champion employee engagement, evaluating, identifying, and addressing engagement trends and measure successful implementation
- Working with other Miki groups head of HR on global policies
- You will be there when things don't go so well, providing support to the directors and managers with employee relations, legal compliance, performance management (including the proper use of discipline or other corrective actions), grievance and termination.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree and fully CIPD qualified preferred (or suitable alternative experience)
- Experience of the full range of generalist HR disciplines
- Experience of improving processes and driving value add HR service delivery
- Strong technical knowledge of method and models across HR
- Able to influence and appropriately challenge senior managers
- Strong knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice initiatives (international experience is a bonus)
- Payroll experience preferable
- Solid numerical skills and Microsoft Office/Google Suite abilities
- Pro-active, self starter with a ‘can do’ approach
- Ability to build rapport and trusting relationships quickly
- Confident communicator who is able to build trust and offer proactive solutions
- Proven ability in influencing at a senior level with a commercial mindset to understand the client's needs and what is important to them
- Collaborative working style, pragmatic and positive in approach
- Attention to detail and passion for high quality and accuracy
- Experience of managing a team
