HR and People Development Manager

Jump INC are a fast growing and progressive leisure and family entertainment operator. Due to the continued expansion of the business, Jump INC are creating a new people function and looking to recruit a HR & People Development Manager. This is a key role for the business, and as such we are wanting to attract an experienced, forward thinking, and confident professional to lead and develop its people function. The HR&PD Manager will be tasked with engaging and uniting a workforce, creating a culture of high performance and future leaders, improving employee retention and the average length of employment and in doing so helping other functions within the business become more efficient. The HR&PD Manager will also manage all HR matters and processes with the support of internal management and external specialists as and when needed.
The HR&PD Manager requires excellent organisational skills including prioritising important deadlines whilst managing the reactive business needs, the ability to understand and influence data and possess excellent people management skills.
The HR&PD Manager will be part of the Senior Management Team and report directly into the Directors. Currently Jump INC have 7 sites and circa 300 employees and has opportunities for further growth in 2023 – 2024.
Key responsibilities and duties:
· Build, shape and implement a people strategy that aligns to the needs of the business.
· Continuously review people focussed data, identify areas for development and implement processes for improvement. Areas will include staff turnover, retention, leavers and length of employment.
· Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and take the lead in creating and implementing robust training and development to all levels within the business.
· Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and take the lead in ensuring that all people related activity is setting the business up for future success.
· Promote a high-performance culture, ensuring talent is identified and developed to improve the overall performance of the business.
· Anticipate employee issues before they arise and provide proactive and effective advice and support.
· Continually review and evolve the reward and benefits schemes to attract, retain and motivate our teams.
· Implement activities designed to increase awareness of the business and its culture to help grow its profile.
· Possess an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment law and manage all HR matters with the support of the Senior Management Team, General Managers and external specialists.
· Role predominantly based at Head Office in Rotherham
· 1 day hybrid working option

Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
