About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join our busy and collaborative team, providing an efficient and professional HR & Payroll service to our School based customers.
This is a role within a fast paced, commercially focused team and will be pivotal in continuing to provide an excellent service to our family of Schools whist also seeking to acquire new clients.
With a dedicated schools HR team, you will be responsible for supporting senior education leaders and line managers across the whole of the employee lifecycle, providing coaching, advice and guidance, developing best practice, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, and overseeing accurate and consistent provision of advice by the Employee Relations Team.

You should be a great team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills who wants to join a fantastic, friendly, and fun team.
In addition, we are looking for someone who has:
- The ability to lead and manage a team of HR Advisors and HR & Payroll Officers to provide high quality services to Schools.
- The ability to develop positive working relationships with trade unions to ensure a strong and collaborative approach is adopted.
- The credibility and gravitas to engage with senior leaders regarding complex employment related matters.
- Strong knowledge of current HR legislation and best practice, with a proven record of applying this knowledge in practice.
- Significant experience dealing with complex employee relations issues.
- Substantial experience of working in a complex, multisite, unionised environment.
- Good personal resilience and decision making ability to deal with difficult situations.
- The ability to focus on outcomes ensuring that cases are resolved swiftly and comply with legislation, policies and best practice.
- Strong coaching style that enthuse confidence from school leaders in your support and the options available to them.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written including high quality letters, reports and policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and confidence quickly.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a desire to develop and deliver a first-class HR and Payroll service.
