Our Chesterfield site is on the hunt for a dynamic and passionate individual to help drive the HR agenda and partner with the business by joining the team. What's the Opportunity?
Earning potential: up to £46,000 per annum depending on experience
Working Pattern: 5 days a week onsite in Chesterfield
About the Role
This position is about developing and delivering an employee engagement and change management program for the entire site, coaching and guiding supervisors on how to make effective people decisions. As a member of the team, you will provide advice and support regarding employee relations and best practices, in addition to assisting with ad-hoc projects such as reorganizations. There is also a strong focus on capability development, retention and succession across the site. What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop, support and deliver employee engagement and change management programs across the regional sites.
- Support operational teams to embed the Gist culture throughout all sites.
- Give guidance and coaching to management teams to empower all mangers to make effective people decisions.
- Provide advice on all aspects of Company policy, best practice, employee relations and employment law.
- Maintain and promote good employee and industrial relations and ensure employee relations issues are dealt with at an early stage.
- Support, coach and develop the site HR Advisor.
- Support capability development, retention and succession of on site management team.
- Assist and provide guidance in grievance and disciplinary issues up to and including dismissal and appeal stage.
- Develop good industrial relations and build strong relationships with trade unions.
- Ensure a culture of trust based on open communication and cooperation is encouraged and reinforced.
- Review HR Management Information and suggest areas of improvement.
- Developing and delivering internal training workshops for managers and/or staff.
- Support and lead various ad-hoc projects as dictated by the needs of the business unit e.g. Restructures, etc.
What You’ll Need
- Significant experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a logistics, retail or manufacturing environment
- People management experience
- Experience dealing with complex ER issues
- Ideally have some experience of working within a unionised environment
- Ability to develop HR strategies and deliver change
- CIPD qualification is desirable
- Flexibility around working hours to meet the needs of the business
