As the company's primary advisor on HR matters, the HR Manager will be required to provide advice and support to the Directors and the Senior Management Team.
You will proactively advise on best practice HR and adopt a hands-on approach in dealing with the HR requirements of the business. Broad areas include recruitment (interviews, employee contracts, job descriptions, offer letters), employer relations (progress reports, performance reviews, employee development, engagement, grievances), talent management, employee health & well-being, and reward
General responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Ensuring operational success and development of the HR function
- Interpreting and advising on employment law including updating and implementing policies and procedures and ensuring the employee handbook is kept up to date in line with current legislation
- Providing coaching and support to the senior management team in terms of development, performance management and the ‘Hiring, Firing’ process
- Lead the employee engagement strategy and identify areas that require improvement and development; inclusive of health & well-being, diversity & inclusion
- Playing a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining the right business culture, inclusive of promoting vision & values, equality & diversity and the overall employee health & well-being proposition
- Responsible together with Centre Managers and Operations Managers for the recruitment and selection activity
- Ownership of the full ‘employee lifecycle’.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have extensive generalist experience either as a standalone HR Manager, or as a senior manager in an existing HR team, ideally within a high-growth organisation, or a start-up HR function.
You will have demonstrable experience in providing effective coaching to the company’s six Centre managers, supporting the recruitment process and people development.
You will be an ambitious and dynamic HR leader, able to thrive in an entrepreneurial high-growth environment.
What's on Offer
A salary of up to £40,000 (DOE)
There will be some ad-hoc need for national travel to visit the various venues and sometime weekend work will be essential.
