Purpose and Scope
To support the CFO in delivering a proactive HR service, providing consistent and professional HR guidance across all departments. Working with the CFO to ensure the business plan, strategy and people objectives are delivered year on year.
Supported by the CFO, the HR Manager has responsibility for HR policy, practice and culture.
The HR Manager has responsibility for developing the HR function within the company and leading recruitment.
To ensure that HR are putting our people at the heart of everything we do and living by the company’s values on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring they are embedded, and a positive performance and accountable culture exists.
To provide support to the company at a time of significant change, assisting in the implementation of programmes of work, which support and enable change to take place.
Primary responsibilities
· The HR Manager will ensure that the Company complies with all laws and regulations relating to employment and will act as a trusted advisor to Directors and Managers in all aspects of HR.
· To develop a strong working relationship with Senior Line Managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management throughout the Company.
· In conjunction with the CFO, the HR Manager will ensure the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of people throughout the Company.

· The HR Manager will contribute and support the leadership of the Company in a way which supports the achievement of the Company’s vision, values and strategic objectives. Acting as a champion for effective people management to ensure the organisation develops a people-oriented company culture.
· The HR Manager will lead and administer the Company performance management system ensuring managers complete employee development reviews in accordance with Company policy. Propose, plan and implement initiatives to drive a high-performance team, as well as an inclusive and collaborative culture.
· The HR Manager will lead on all recruitment and ensure that there are consistent recruitment practices, supporting the Directors with talent mapping and succession planning processes.
· To support the finance team in the monthly preparation and review of payroll as and when required.
· Involvement with ad-hoc project work as required for the need of the business.

Required skills / qualifications
· CIPD Qualified (Level 7)
· A good general level of education
Desirable
· Degree in a related subject
· Coaching qualification
· Conflict / Medication qualification
Experience
· Proven HR Generalist experience of at least 5 years.
o Desirable varied experience across different organisations operating in an agile environment,
· Evidence of constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
· Experience of coaching and mentoring.
· Ability to manage sensitive situations with diplomacy.
· Organisational change management experience.
· Conflict resolution experience.
· Experience of managing budgets.
· Proven experience of direct recruitment.
Knowledge
· Knowledge of HR / Payroll systems.
· Conversant and up to date with all aspects of employment law, policies, and HR best practice.
· Desirable requirement of knowledge of a fast paced commercial organisation
