Human Resources Manager

Job Responsibilities:
- Builds relationships with internal business partners and team members to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives with a level of integrity.
- Proactively diagnose organizational needs within client groups and develop strategic solutions that align with our business goals and values.
- Coach and support people leaders and team members on employee relations matters, bringing resolution in line with Athletic Brewing’s Core Values and standards of conduct
- Drive performance management process and career development opportunities within internal business units.
- Assist management and employees in resolving conflicts, work-related questions, or issues in an effort to maintain positive employee relations and a union-free environment.
- Enhances Athletic Brewing’s capability in succession planning, culture and team member engagement, and change management.
- Lead organization-wide initiatives, providing creative input and driving execution of key programs on behalf of the HR Team.
- Assess and identify ways to continually improve the culture and engagement of teams.
- Field questions from team members regarding an array of concerns.
- Collaborate with key cross-functional partners such as Payroll and Safety.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to Athletic internal policies and procedures and external regulations and laws.
- Lead Athletic Brewing’s DE&I initiatives, including but not limited to leading DE&I committees, recruiting support, and internal DE&I initiatives.

Skills and Experience:
- 5-8 years of HR Manager or HR Business Partner is required.
- Prior experience in supporting Marketing, Sales Business, and Manufacturing units preferred.
- Prior experience in DE&I preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or another related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability in creative problem-solving and a solutions-based approach required.
- Team player with a focus on collaboration.
- Ability to influence, provide coaching and feedback, and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, prioritizing effectively and driving for results in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated high level of operating with integrity and confidentiality.
- Extensive knowledge of Connecticut and New York labor laws required.
- Solid computer skills are required with experience utilizing HR systems
- Travel to Milford, CT is expected twice annually.
Job Details:
- Location: San Diego, CA
- Salary: base salary: $90,000 - $115,000 and opportunities for performance bonuses.
