An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic team of HR professionals currently based at Wansbeck or North Tyneside General Hospital in an HR Advisor role. We are seeking a motivated and conscientious individual to work within our fast-paced Operational HR Team.
These roles are pivotal in supporting the provision of a high-quality HR service that is focussed on supporting staff across the organisation to achieve outcomes in line with the vision and values of the Trust.
The post is currently based at Wansbeck General Hospital, however the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust on a regular basis. Blended/flexible working is supported by the Trust.
You will be the first point of contact providing advice and support to line managers and employees across a range of employee relations matters, including:
Management of attendance;
Terms and conditions of employment;
Conduct and capability;
Grievance;
Performance Management;
Change Management;
Retention and Redeployment;
Dignity at Work.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. Successful candidates will have an ability to communicate, negotiate and influence a range of managers and staff, have experience of analysing situations in order to advise on an appropriate course of action and an ability to organise their own workload to meet service needs and competing deadlines.

Applicants for the HR Advisor position must have:
Degree in Human Resources or HR Knowledge acquired through relevant training and experience working in an HR environment to degree equivalent level
A sound working knowledge of a range of policies and management procedures
It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role
