McLaughlin & Harvey is one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Graduate to join our current HR team initially on a 12 month fixed term contract.
- Administration and maintenance of the HR training database
- Support learning and development activities by booking training courses, liaising with providers, arranging in house courses and ensuring the training database is maintained and monitored
- Manage training records, ensuring attendance, certificates and qualifications are accurately recorded
- Support the HR team to effectively and efficiently manage CITB grant claims to ensure maximisation of grant recovery
- Supporting the HR team with the smooth-running of the people management processes including, new starts, leavers, role changes, performance reviews and absence cases through our HR system
- Timely and accurate maintenance of HR information and providing reports as requested
- Provide appropriate and constructive support for employee queries
Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
- Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and quality
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Good communication skills and comfortable talking to a wide range of people
- Friendly approach
- Possess the ability to plan your own workload, work on your own initiative and meet deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel
