Job Description Summary

Supporting the HR team in the UK by delivering first class HR Administrative support, assisting in updating employee records, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, responding to employee queries and gaining exposure to various HR functions like payroll, recruitment, and employee development. This role provides an opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience and insights into HR operations.

Job Description

Main Duties

  • Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business, including the management of the HR mailbox – resolving queries appropriately
  • Administration of HR records and changes, maintaining accurate data across our HR systems
  • Preparation of complex payroll submissions
  • Administration of sick pay and other forms of special leave
  • Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data
  • Supporting the creation of an apprenticeship programme
  • First point of contact for employees and people leaders for HR issues, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
  • Supporting the HR team with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary and the management of long term absences
  • Collaboration with Occupational Health on related topics eg new starter medicals
  • Management of the HR induction process
  • Supporting regular transactional processes
  • Coaching and advising People Leaders on employee relations matters
  • Coaching and advising People Leaders on developing their teams and executing the company processes in relation to performance evaluation

The following qualities and skills are integral to success in this role:

  • Likely to be CIPD Intermediate level with a related qualification
  • High proficiency in Excel and other Office tools
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Hands-on experience with IT programmes and HR systems (experience with Workday would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of employment legislation
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Driven and determined
  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly
  • High integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to deal with conflicts and difficult conversations
  • A second language would be an advantage (particularly Polish, German or Romanian)
