The HR Generalist will support the Group through the full employee life cycle, influence the development of the HR function and provide assistance on people projects. Site visits will be required to ensure strong relationships are built with our colleagues and to enable an understanding of the operations, in turn ensuring HR related decisions are fit for purpose.

Main Responsibilities:*
- Assisting with the process of recruitment, including advertising, vetting candidates and issuing employment contracts
- Supporting the administration of the full employee life cycle
- Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
- Providing advice on people policy application
- Supporting with employee relations cases
- Supporting the apprenticeship programme including recruitment, onboarding and monitoring progress
- Compiling and maintaining employee records
- Processing payroll
- Administering the company benefits, monitoring usage and providing input to shape the benefits package
- Supporting HR-related training programs and workshops
- Monitoring compliance with people policies, including sickness absence
- Coordinating logistics for new joiners
- Supporting reporting on general HR activities
- Staying up to date with the latest HR best practices and employment law changes
Key Attributes:
- Experience in an HR Assistant or similar position
- Working knowledge of HR best practice
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of employment law
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of Payroll is desirable
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Experience of TUPE desirable
- Experience with BambooHR desirable
