Worldwide Events specialises in business-to-business trade events bringing together key players in the travel and events industry. We believe in making business joyful because networking should be fun!

What does the HR Executive do?

As a company, we’re on an exciting journey – that’s where you come in! You will be the first port of call to both perspective and then new team members when joining Worldwide Events, making sure their experience is a positive one all the way from interview to first day and delivering on a right first time culture.

We are looking for an organised and self-motivated individual to join us as our HR Executive, you will be responsible for providing administrative and other support to our People Function, specifically our Head of People. General duties will include (not exhaustive), handling clerical duties, coordinating calendars, supporting confidential meetings, audits, coordinating our recruitment, managing our HR platform (People HR) among other things!

Our ideal HR Executive will be pro-active in their approach and have the ability to keep information confidential which is critical in this role. In order to be successful in this position you should be detail-orientated, professional, organised and have excellent written ad verbal communication skills.

This will suit an experienced HR Executive looking for the next step in your career.

Your responsibilities as HR Executive

  • Coordinating our recruitment efforts (screening CV’s, arranging interviews, managing onboarding of new staff, conducting right to work checks)
  • Issuing contracts and managing our HR system (People HR)
  • Assisting the Head of People with any employee relations cases
  • Keeping our employee handbook up to date
  • Ensuring our office is well maintained and serving our employees the best it can (fruit baskets, sweet treats)
  • Coordinating efforts with IT to ensure new starters have all the information they need.
  • Issuing employment letters (probation, disciplinary, contract amendments)
  • Keeping and updating employee records on our HR platform
  • Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails and preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos, resumes and presentations.
  • Acting as a central point of contact for team member queries and issues
  • Assisting with payroll by providing the Finance Department with relevant employee information
  • Assisting the Head of People with any other tasks as needed.

What we would love to see from you:

  • Experience as an HR Administrator, Executive or Advisor
  • Understanding of various HR Systems, plus points for People HR
  • Up-to-date knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
  • CIPD qualification (level 3 or above)
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
  • Computer literate with programmes such as word, excel etc
  • Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple workflows
  • Passionate about people and developing others
  • A keen interest in the travel and events industry a plus
  • Experienced with an international workforce a plus
  • A love of travelling with a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally!
