HR Coordinator – 37.5 Hours Per Week, Denby Head Office.
Job Purpose
To work as part of a team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of HR administration activities covering the end-to-end employee life cycle from recruitment to post-employment. To create and maintain electronic records within the relevant system(s) and individual employee filles. To provide advice and support to employees and managers in response to a range of employee relations matters.
Job Duties
Completion of HR administration activities to support the employee lifecycle including but not limited to:
- Supporting the recruitment process through advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews and conducting right to work checks
- Making offers of employment including issuing of employment contracts and new starter documents
- Onboarding new starters to the HR system and creating electronic employee files
- Requesting and completing employee references
- Processing personal and employment changes, ensuring the correct documentation is completed and systems are kept up to date
- Processing leavers, ensuring the correct documentation is completed and systems are kept up to date
- Ensuring all systems and files are kept up to date and documents are maintained accurately
- Monitoring employee absences in line with the company Absence Management Policy and escalating where required
- Supporting and coaching managers on a range of employee relations issues and supporting with casework as required
- Ensuring all current and up to date employment legislation is adhered to at all times
- Supporting the HR Manager and Head of HR with projects as required
- Liaising with the Payroll team and ensuring key information is communicated as required
- Maintaining a focus on continuous improvement, standardising processes and streamlining where possible
Supporting as required with other activities, including, but not limited to:
- Administration of company cars
- Coordination and administration of Occupational Health
- Ensuring GDPR compliance is maintained
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in a HR environment with an understanding of core HR processes (previous experience of working in a HR Shared Service desirable)
- Experience of working with a HRIS or similar system
- Experience of coaching and supporting managers through employee relations issues
- A team player with a pro-active approach
- Willing to work flexibly and be responsive to wider team and business needs
- High levels of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal confidently with employees, managers and external stakeholders
- A CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential
