A great growth opportunity at one of the largest hotels in downtown Houston!
We’re looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team of five at our 955-room hotel in the heart of downtown.
What does the role entail?
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for greeting and assisting all hotel colleagues, applicants and visitors along with maintaining the day-to-day administrative function of a highly active Human Resources office. Organizational skills and ability to multi-task are necessary to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of incoming calls, redirect HR related calls, distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
- Support colleagues with any general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, etc.
- Administrative support for the HR managers to include but not limited to name badges, digital filing and entering training rosters
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
- Support with orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
- Support other functions as assigned

Qualifications
- A desire to expand into all HR functions and processes.
- Experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as social media applications.
- Bilingual – Spanish preferred.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
