Job description
As a Human Resource Coordinator you are eager to help build the foundation and support operational functions of HR while receiving key guidance and mentorship from your HR leads. You will learn about various HR processes in a contemporary, fast-paced environment to support Critical Mass in the development and delivery of core HR services. Administration is a large part of your day-to-day work, but you will also gain experience in talent retention, employee recognition, benefits, employment law, and policies and procedures.
You will:
- Develop a trusting relationship and provide an outstanding HR service experience
to employees and other community partners. - Represent Critical Mass's values and mission, and begin to understand and showcase
Critical Mass HR service offerings. - Learn operational/processing expertise for assigned tasks and develop basic knowledge
of HR Data. - Learn to organize HR Data Systems and pull reports through JIRA, BOX, and other HR platforms in order to help inform HR systems, documents, and route information to appropriate department(s).
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn.
You have:
- Preferred: Prior experience or exposure to professional experience, preferably in an Administrative Assistant/Coordinator role in an interactive environment or advertising agency. This could include internships experience, capstone or community projects.
- A strong sense of curiosity and a desire to understand the impact of your work.
- Effective interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to connect with others and think globally.
- Have a keen sense of tact, judgment, and self-awareness, utilizing these qualities to navigate various situations to learn how to make decisions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Keynote, with top-notch word-processing skills. Oral and written communication skills are a must-have, allowing them to convey information and ideas with ease.
- Strong organization skills, detail oriented, excellent multitasking abilities, and the capacity to work well under stress in a dynamic environment. Learn how to navigate a constant flow of information, showcasing adaptability and quick decision-making.
- A good balance between working independently and with a team.
- Ability to proactively and diligently follow up with teams.
