Position Summary

We have a great opportunity for an HR Communications Specialist to join out HR Talent Centre Of Competence team. You will develop and own the delivery of a regular programme of internal communications that engages employees within our HR function. You will work closely with the HR leadership team to support the delivery of our people strategy and people activities reach our HR employees through effective communication and engagement activities.

A day in the life of a HR Communications Specialist

As the HR Communications Specialist, you will advocate a positive employee experience where colleagues feel informed, connected, and inspired within the HR Function and the work they do. Whilst working with the HR Leadership team, you will develop an HR internal communication agenda in a way that reflects and embeds our priorities set out in our HR strategy and enhances our culture. You’ll work in collaboration with the Nestlé UK & I market Internal Communications team to create, manage, and deliver content and stories through our primary internal communications channels such as TalkOnline, People Focus for line managers, Wellness Talk, SharePoint Hubs, WorkPlace and others, ensuring messages are engaging, accurate, clear and aligned with the HR function needs.

You will also;

  • Develop and manage effective internal communication campaigns to reach all HR colleagues with timely news and information across all internal channels (e.g., team briefings, e-newsletters, meetings/events, Workplace etc).

  • Business partner with stakeholders across HR to identify stories, news, launches and issues.

  • Lead the HR Communications network to support HR colleagues in the management, development and execution of HR campaigns and drive improvements in HR communications.

  • Work with the Nestlé UK & I market internal communications team to ensure HR communications strategy and execution are aligned to IC strategy and identify opportunities for collaboration.

  • Ensure IC Network are aware of any planned communications and work across the network to ensure aligned approach to HR communications.

  • Create the 'People Focus' Line Manager monthly newsletter, ensuring content is relevant and engaging for all People Managers.

  • Lead and support the communications campaigns to drive awareness of and engagement in people activities, including annual people processes, projects and change communications.

What will make you successful?

The successful candidate will bring with them experience in Internal Communications within a fast-paced matrix organisation, and it goes without saying you will have exceptional communication skills with lots of energy and passion for delivery. You’ll have had experience of supporting innovation in communications, collaborating with others using a variety of channels to communicate with different audiences. However, the ability to possess strong collaboration and effective stakeholder management skills is pivotal.

You’ll have:
  • Experience of working in a Communications team within a large organisation, ideally with multiple sites/remote employees.
  • Demonstratable experience of developing and delivering internal communications within large and complex organisations.
  • Communication channel management (live events and digital channels)
  • Strong writing skills, and ability to craft, shape, and execute on narrative strategies for different audiences.
  • Good communication skills – verbal, written and presentation skills. Able to write clearly and concisely for a range of different channels and media.
