An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced HR Co-ordinator to join the Faculty of History. This is a new and varied role located at the very heart of a large and vibrant faculty. We welcome applications from those who are passionate about HR, keen to develop their skills, and who are looking for a stimulating opportunity to deliver a high-quality HR service.
The post holder will be responsible for leading and advising on HR matters, have operational responsibility for recruitment and retention, HR-related learning and development, employee relations and casework, and will also support the Faculty's equality, diversity and inclusion activities. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to manage and prioritise their workload in an independent manner, performing these duties to the highest levels of accuracy and professionalism.
Applicants should be educated to degree/level 6 vocational qualification (or equivalent level of practical experience), possess knowledge of HR administration, policies and procedures, and have the ability to deal with sensitive issues with confidentiality and tact. They should have a flexible and adaptable approach, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and networks across all levels of staff.
The role is available on a full-time basis. The Faculty of History operates a hybrid working model.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
