About us
We are Direct Line Group – home to some of the country's best-known brands including Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege, Greenflag, and NIG. Our vision is to create a world where insurance is personal, inclusive, and a force for good, and our purpose is to help people carry on with their lives, giving them peace of mind - now and in the future.
The Role
We have gone through a transformation within our HR Team to create a nimble, expertise-led HR Service that lets us aim higher and deliver a more effective, and cost-efficient service to the business. We will do this by improving collaboration, focusing on what matters, building skills for the future, and driving scale and efficiency. And that’s why we’re recruiting for not one, but multiple HR Change Partners to join our Change Hub Team. These are a mixture of permanent and fixed term, full-time roles that are predominately home-working with some occasional travel to our offices.
As a HR Change Partner, you will join a dedicated, empowered, and flexible pool of HR professionals, providing guidance and expertise working to deliver prioritised business and HR strategic change activity. You will be working in multidisciplinary squads (teams), utilising agile methodology, and collaborate directly with the business and/or HR sponsors, serving as the HR expert. You’ll be responsible for prioritising, scoping, designing, and delivering innovative solutions that add business value, are in line with our people strategy and have colleague experience at the heart of everything.
Who you’ll be working with
You’ll be part of a team of Change Partners of varying HR technical specialisms and knowledge such as HR Systems, Reward, ER etc. with the aim being to create working groups of diverse people able to deliver change projects from start to finish. You’ll work with other departments within HR as well as with senior business leaders.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for an experienced HRBP, Employee Relations or People Change professional with a core technical specialism (e.g., talent and capability, HR strategy) and generalist understanding of HR-related issues and processes.

Your role is not only to deliver – but to probe, ask questions, advice and influence the direction of change – acting as a true SME to the business.
Our Change Hub Partners need to be able to gather information, analyse and problem solve taking business needs, policy, legislation, and best practice into account. And an understanding of (or willingness to learn) agile methodologies is key to your success.
You will have:
Consultative, problem solving and HR advisory skills ideally in a fast paced, focused environment
Specialised/Technical HR skills in one or more areas: Internal comms; organisation design; change; Organisation development: talent, capability build; leadership and development; org culture; engagement.
What you'll be doing:
Deliver short and/or long-term change effectively through your broad and specialist HR knowledge and, where appropriate, draw in CoE and wider functional expertise
Engage and collaborate with HR Partners explaining how the Change Hub will shape, test, learn and implement designed solutions
Develop deep understanding of business area roadmaps and strategy to ensure the team deliver the outcomes in a timely manner, with awareness of the wider change agenda through business engagement, foreseeing interdependencies, resource needs and necessary adaptation.
Carry out research, develop user stories and collation/analysis of data to understand change requirements from both the commercial and people perspective
