1 x Senior HR Case Manager (UE08: £45,585 to £54,395)
2 x HR Case Managers (UE07: £37,099 to £44,263)
Open Ended, Full-time (35 hours per week or part-time/flexible working may be considered)
We are expanding our HR Case Management Team and are looking to recruit two additional HR Case Managers to join our team of Case Managers. We’re also looking to recruit a Senior HR Case Manager, which is a new role and will handle our most complex casework, as well as managing the team.
These posts are advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. The base for these roles is a modern and vibrant office at the University’s Holyrood campus, just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh’s city centre.
The Opportunity:
As a HR Case Manager, you will support Managers and staff through our formal case management processes, including grievance, discipline, absence management, probation and capability. This is a key role within the HR function that supports resolution of a range of staffing situations across all areas of the University. As a Senior HR Case Manager, you’ll oversee the Case Management team, manage workflow, improve service delivery, and you’ll also manage the most complex casework (including tribunal claims), as well as ensuring the organisation learns and improves from employee relations issues.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Experience of working in HR at advisory level supporting formal HR casework at all stages of the process
- A sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Ability to evaluate complex situations and provide clear business focused advice
- Ability to co-ordinate and drive forward casework through excellent organisational and communication skills
- An interest in helping people through difficult situations, which will also require you to possess a high degree of personal resilience.
Additionally, for the Senior HR Case Manager role:
- Substantial experience of managing employee relations casework issues
- Ability to influence and challenge effectively at all levels of an organisation
- Staff management and team development experience is desirable
