About the Team
The Global Product & RD team is building up core TikTok products to ensure TikTok continues healthy growth, delivering the best product experience to all of our users, building the most attractive features to help users enjoy their time on TikTok, earning trust in privacy protection, and more.
1. Partner with your assigned business unit and ensure a deep understanding of business strategy and implement high-quality HR practices within the team.
2. Consult with line management and provide HR guidance when appropriate, including talent development, performance management, and employee relations.
3. Proactively assess team and employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
4. Manage employee disciplinary issues and advise business leaders on how to manage each case.
5. Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, HR operations, and other HR teams to implement solutions.
6. Drive employee engagement agenda for the employees in your business unit(s).
7. Be the ambassador of TikTok organizational culture. Plan and implement organizational culture activities.
Qualifications
1. Background of 4+ years as a Human Resources Business Partner in a high-growth company and a total of at least 6+ years of experience in Human Resources, as either a generalist, people leader, business partner, or human capital consultant.
2. Prior experience supporting and working in a Tech environment is preferred, particularly in support of engineers, data scientists, and/or data security functions.
3. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, drive change and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization and challenge the status quo.
4. Comfort with ambiguity; strong judgment and ability to make thoughtful decisions leveraging data and insights.
5. Successful track record of designing and implementing people programs.
6. Deep business acumen to grow businesses through the ongoing development and support of its people.
7. BA/BS degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Human Resources Management preferred; certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise a plus, including coaching certifications.
