HR Business Partner – Drivers (East)
Location – based in our York Office/Newcastle Office with Working from home and with regional travel
Circa £65k dependent on experience + excellent benefits

Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, you will be responsible for providing day to day support to our Driver and operational management team, implementing HR and industry plans to achieve the business goals and People KPIs. You will coach and develop key customers, equipping them with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people in line with their HR policy, procedures and employment legislation. In this generalist role, you will be an integral part of the HR team, advising managers across a wide geographical area on issues including employee relations and collective bargaining, discipline and grievance, employee engagement and occupational health and wellbeing. You will have strong consultation and negotiation skills having had significant experience of working in a unionised environment. Employee Relations is a key part of this role.
To be successful in this role you'll be a natural relationship builder with demonstrable influencing skills. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with all levels within the organisation.
With experience gained ideally in an operational environment and within a collective bargaining framework you will be required to demonstrate sound employment legislation knowledge. You will have the ability to work flexibly within the team, hit the ground running and deliver great customer service across the business.
